Pointz Marketing & Business Development Manager 

Pointz is a safety-focused mapping app for bike and scooter riders that leverages crowdsourcing. Our mission is to provide lower-stress routing to bike and scooter riders by leveraging local knowledge, so people can enjoy their rides. We have recently launched our public app on the App Store and Google Play.

Due to significant growth and market demand we are currently hiring a Business Development Manager. We are looking for an experienced, thoughtful, and passionate BD manager to lead user growth and partnerships. Pointz is headquartered in Providence, RI. We will consider hybrid or remote candidates.

Salary: $70-90k with stock options (This is a full-time position)

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Design and implement a strategic plan that expands the company’s customer base and ensures its strong presence

  • Develop and execute user acquisition strategies and data-driven processes 

  • Present user acquisition and engagement KPIs, along with revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team

  • Create, test, and run social media ad campaigns

  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting partnerships with local and national bicycle groups, shared vehicle operators, municipalities, and other micromobility industry stakeholders 

  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status

  • Give market feedback to the product team

We are looking for:

  • BS/MS degree in Business Administration or a related field

  • At least 4+ years of successful previous experience in sales and marketing 

  • A self-starter, keen, ambitious, and results-driven - with a proven record of exceeding targets and KPIs

  • Relentless and experienced in identifying target leads, reaching out and generating partnerships

  • Experience coaching or mentoring team members

  • Experience of using a CRM and managing team performance via CRM tools

  • Organized, process-driven, with a great knowledge of sales techniques in B2B partnerships

  • Strong knowledge of the micromobility industry and players
